2015 Year in Review and Holiday Racking Event

Happy Holidays from the Village Winery Club, an urban winemaking experience creating an educational and social community in New York City. Read further for an update of the Spring and Fall 2015 Vintages and a preview for 2016.

2015 was a year of growth thanks to the interest generated from all the great press we received, including New York Times and ThrillistWe’ve pushed our production and capacity to the limits, but have maintained the hand-made quality and touch.  Currently, we are producing wine from three continents, and have expanded our blending and flavor profiles to a new level.

Our expansion to the Urban Wine Lab, a dedicated cellar for the member winemaking events is working out and the young Fall 2015 vintage is ready to be barreled down next week. The apartment ‘back patio’ is free of all winemaking equipment and will host outdoor the events. We are also working with tasting rooms around New York City for offsite events open to the local community (over 21). As we innovate the #UrbanWineMovement and build a community of winemakers, tasters, and great people, the club will continue to deliver a unique experience only found at the VWC.

On Saturday December 7th we will barrel down the young Fall Vintage 2015 wine, combined with a paired tasting by Steve TheFoodComa Fury, and the chance for Fall 2014 members to pickup their wine for the holidays.

Pre-ordering for Spring 2016 will be available for the holidays and makes a great stocking stuffer for anyone who loves wine, an even better wedding or engagement gift for a couple, or a unique experience for you to learn the process of urban winemaking.

We hope to see you at an upcoming event.
